  • Materials: brass, black delrin, acrylic
  • Turned handle on lathe (shaped and threaded)
  • Turned top piece on lathe; milled lug nut (shaped and tapped thread)
  • Turned lens on lathe (shaped)
  • Welded top piece and lug nut
  • Sanded and buffed top piece
  • Sanded and buffed lens
 

ILLUMINATION

  • A Gandalf the Grey inspired stick shift knob
  • Materials: modulan, brass, ABS, crystal
  • Carved pattern for knob into modulan
  • Created gate and riser for pattern board
  • Sanded pattern, gate, and riser to appropriate draft angle
  • Assembled pattern board
  • Sand casted pattern
  • Cut off riser, gate, excess material
  • Lightly sanded main piece
  • Tapped thread into knob
  • Drilled hole for crystal
  • Turned adapter piece on lathe (shaped and threaded)
